Mind your business. What do I mean by this? I mean being aware of the content of your mind and managing it. Here are the three steps to taking responsibility for the content of your thoughts.
Vigilance
You must become aware. Add tiny pauses in your day where you ask yourself what thoughts are going through your mind. Pass no judgement and just become curious - what is the content of your thoughts? What are the quality of your thoughts? e.g. what emotions are behind them?
2. Acceptance
Don’t get too hasty and try and block out negative thoughts. This will only mean they try to come back with more force. Whether you like your thoughts or not, once you have become aware of them, your next step is to fully accept them. Allow them to be there.
3. Choice
Through acceptance, you can find choice. Once you fully accept the thoughts and emotion, you can decide whether you want this for yourself.
So stay alert and take it step by step to minding your business, which could change your life.
